Technical notes about Paquet Builder and its packages.

System Requirements for Paquet Builder¶

A good system configuration is recommended for creating large packages, especially those containing many files.

Minimal Configuration:

• RAM: 256MB (1GB recommended for 7-Zip high compression levels).
• Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, Windows 7 and Server editions. Supports both 32-bit and x64 versions.

• RAM: 128MB or higher.
• Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, Windows 7 and Server editions. Supports both 32-bit and x64 versions.

Package Size Limit¶

• Self-Extracting Packages: Paquet Builder 2025 supports creating packages up to 4GB.
• Larger Archives: Non-SFX archive files can exceed 4GB.

Note: 4GB is the size limit for EXE files on Windows.

Workaround for Larger Packages¶

You can create a Self-Extracting multi-volume archive to bypass this limitation.
